Broilers

The day old chicks are placed on 28 broiler rearing sites, all within Norfolk & Suffolk.  The majority of the sites are located no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the processing plant.  As public attention turns increasingly to welfare issues this is a major advantage for Crown.

The rearing capacity of the farms is approximately 2.8 million broiler chickens.  In addition to it's current processing needs Crown also supply live birds to 3 other East Anglian poultry producers.
