Crown Chicken Ltd regards the protection of the environment as a fundamental principle of its business philosophy. We take a responsible attitude to the management of environmental care programmes. Our aim is to achieve sustainable development of our business without compromising the continued protection of the environment.

Objectives

The environment action plan of our business embraces all aspects of our environment protection philosophy and to this end, we will:

• Identify the best practical environment options for all processes and activities, establishing operating standards which embody these options.

• Be committed to complying with the applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the company subscribes which relate to its environmental aspects.

• Achieve and maintain a consistently and adequately high standard of environmental protection in our approach to all legal compliances.

• Seek opportunities to improve on the minimum legislative standards.

• Conduct regular reviews of all aspects of our operation to ensure that these standards are being maintained and that we meet our goals.

• Identify the necessary resources and training programmes for sustaining continued improvement and environmental protection.

• Include environmental protection performance information in external and internal reports.

• Encourage full and effective consultation on environmental protection matters at all levels to ensure effective liaison.

• Develop an awareness and sense of shared responsibility for environmental protection amongst all those working within the business.

• Assess and minimise the environmental impact of all products, processes and services.

• Through the process of partnership with customers, suppliers and the local community, seek ways of reducing the impact of our activities on the environment.
