A continuous capital expenditure programme allows the mill to remain one of the most modern in the country. The mill has a dedicated heat treated poultry feed line. Crown's own broiler feed requirement is 1,400 tonnes of food each week, which represents approximately 32% of the mills weekly production of 4,000 tonnes.

The major customers that Crown supplies feed to (2,600 tonnes per week) are themselves suppliers of pork and poultry to major retailers and wholesalers. They all require, without exception, guarantees of traceability, heat treatment, hygiene etc.

Due to the popularity of Crown's feed plans are being discussed to put into place further major capital expenditure to allow additional production.
